TanAI has reached an important European computing milestone.
Our project, “TanAI: Pre-training a 3B-Parameter Generative-Adaptive Transformer with Block Attention Residuals,” has passed the EuroHPC AI Factory Playground eligibility and technical assessment process and has been awarded 5,000 GPU hours on MareNostrum 5 ACC for a three-month allocation period.
The allocation will support the continuation and technical validation of TanAI’s model-development pipeline, including distributed-training experiments, checkpoint portability, long-context evaluation, RoPE validation and Condition Stack ablation studies.
MareNostrum 5 access expands TanAI’s available compute capacity without equity dilution and provides a path for validating our training architecture on a major European high-performance computing system.
The operational onboarding process is currently in progress. Following account activation, we plan to migrate selected training workloads and checkpoints from our existing cloud environment to MareNostrum 5.
This allocation is a computing-resource award rather than a financial investment or model-quality certification. It nevertheless represents a significant infrastructure milestone in TanAI’s transition from consumer-GPU research to cloud and European supercomputing environments.
